BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – A tractor-trailer driver was seriously injured when his truck crashed near Oakland early on Wednesday morning, according to NJ.com.
The tractor-trailer jack-knifed on Interstate 287 northbound near Skyline Drive at about 2:35 a.m.
The driver was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
All northbound lanes and two southbound lanes were closed for investigation and clean up for the crash and a second, seemingly unrelated truck crash that happened soon after. A fuel spill at the scene was also being attended to.
Drivers were detoured around the area for hours. Multiple northbound lanes remained closed into the afternoon for the continuing investigation.
