HACKENSACK, NJ – All lanes were closed near the Essex Street Train Station in Hackensack after a train struck a vehicle on Monday morning.

According to 511 New Jersey, the train versus vehicle accident happened near the Essex Street Train Station at about 8:40 a.m.

All lanes were closed, in both directions, on Essex Street between Railroad Avenue and Newman Street. The lanes remained closed into the afternoon while authorities worked at the scene.

At this time, the condition of the involved parties has not been released.
