KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – An early morning tractor-trailer fire was reported at a rest area off Interstate 80 in Knowlton Township on Monday.
According to 511 New Jersey, the truck fire was reported at the Delaware Water Gap Rest Area on eastbound I-80 just after 5 a.m.
The righthand main travel lanes remained closed for more than three hours and the entrance to the weight station remained closed for most of the morning.
The condition of the truck driver and any other involved parties is unknown at this time. We will update this story should more information become available.
