NEWARK, NJ – A tractor-trailer driver was seriously injured in a crash with another truck near the Newark International Airport on Friday morning.
According to a local news story, a trash hauler and a second truck collided on Route 78 near the exit for Route 1&9 at about 8 a.m., pushing one of the trash hauler into a concrete barrier.
The trash hauler’s cab was crushed by the trailer. A video from the scene shows several passersby and a police officer pulling the driver from the cab.
The driver was transported to a local Newark hospital with serious injuries. The other truck driver was also hospitalized.
