Three injured in Barnegat car crash

BARNEGAT, NJ – A multi-vehicle crash caused injuries on Route 9 in Barnegat on Wednesday evening, according to a local news report.

The three-vehicle accident happened near the intersection of Route 9 and Georgetown Boulevard when a northbound vehicle attempted to turn across the southbound lanes. The initial impact pushed the cars into a third vehicle at a red light.

Two victims suffered minor injuries in the crash. A third victim, a passenger in one of the cars, was transported by ambulance to a landing zone where they were taken by helicopter to a Manahawkin hospital.
