PARAMUS, NJ- A driver was injured on Tuesday after a tanker truck flipped over on the Route 4 exit ramp, according to local media sources.
On Tuesday morning, officials responded to reports of a tanker truck carrying oil that flipped over on an exit ramp on eastbound Route 4 headed towards northbound Route 17. The adult female driver was extricated by officials who arrived at the scene and then transported to an area hospital by Emergency Medical Services for non life-threatening injuries. The contents of the truck had to be cleared before the truck could be righted and the ramp could officially open back up to traffic.
The cause of the accident is unclear at this time. We will be monitoring for updates.
