HUDSON COUNTY, NJ – Two suspects have been charged after crashing a stolen vehicle in Jersey City last Thursday, according to NJ.com.
The August 27 crash was at the intersection of Kennedy Boulevard and Duncan Avenue. Sheriff’s officers in the area noticed the vehicle and attempted to stop the car. However, Ramone Brown, the 21-year-old driver, refused to stop. However, Brown soon crashed with a second vehicle and a traffic light pole at about 2 p.m.
The second occupant of the stolen Mercedes, Olivia Murphy, 20, was arrested at the scene. Brown fled on foot but was quickly apprehended.
Brown, Murphy, and the other driver involved were all treated for minor injuries. A Sheriff’s officer was also treated for injuries from the incident.
Brown is facing charges of eluding, theft a motor vehicle, obstruction by flight, possession of drug paraphernalia, and assault by auto. Murphy was charged with receiving stolen property.
