PASSAIC, NJ – A woman has been charged with a variety of offenses stemming from a hit-and-run collision that injured a pedestrian last month, according to local media reports.
Police say they arrested Luisa Eusebio-Urena, 37, without incident on Wednesday.
Prosecutors allege that Eusebio-Urena struck a 70-year-old pedestrian at the intersection of Pennington Avenue and Main Avenue in Passaic at about 5 a.m. on April 11, then fled the scene without stopping. The victim was treated for serious injuries at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center.
Eusebio-Urena is facing charges of second-degree Assault by Auto While Intoxicated and Within 1,000 Feet of School Property, third-degree Endangering an Injured Victim, and third-degree Knowingly Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident Involving Serious Bodily Injury.
