SALEM COUNTY, NJ – A woman from South Jersey lost her life in a multi-car accident in Upper Pittsgrove Township Sunday, according to NJ.com.
The three-vehicle accident occurred at the corner of Fork Bridge Road and Route 40. At about 5 p.m., a Nissan driving eastbound on Route 40 struck a Toyota driving north on Fork Bridge Road. The impact drove the Nissan into a Honda pickup truck coming from the opposite direction on Route 40.
Each of the three drivers was treated for minor to moderate injuries. A passenger in the Nissan, 72-year-old Barbara Carmen, died from her injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
