SOMERSET, NJ – Local investigators are searching for the hit-and-run driver that injured a teenaged pedestrian in Bound Brook on Saturday night.

According to Nj.com, a 19-year-old man was crossing in the 600 block of West Union Avenue. He was struck by a vehicle at about 10:30 p.m.

Authorities found the victim, injured, and transported him to a local hospital. The driver did not wait for the authorities to arrive and fled the scene.

The victim is listed in stable condition.
