HUDSON COUNTY, NJ – A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident that injured a bicyclist last month in North Bergen.
According to NJ.com, the Guttenberg man was wanted following a July 13 accident, in which he was a passenger in a vehicle that struck a bicyclist.
Wilver Orellana, 21, jumped out of the passenger side of a car that struck the 47-year-old woman near James J Braddock Park. The victim was left lying injured in the road, as the car’s driver also fled the scene.
After the accident, the bicyclist was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center. An update on her condition was not available.
Orellana was arrested in his home on Monday. The driver, Diana Smith, was arrested last week.
