PARAMUS, NJ – A truck flipped on its side on Route 17 Friday morning after the driver fell asleep at the wheel, according to Patch.com.
The 30-foot box truck struck a tree and a pole near Trader Joe’s at about 6:20 a.m. . The accident sent debris into a parking lot near the scene.
The driver, a 26-year old man, sustained only minor injuries and refused medical attention.
The truck was carrying Amazon packages at the time of the accident. It is unclear if overwork played a factor.
