UNION COUNTY, NJ – A truck driver sustained serious injuries in an early morning car accident on the New Jersey Turnpike in Linden on Thursday.

According to RLS Media, the driver was northbound in a truck on the New Jersey Turnpike when his vehicle crashed and overturned near milepost 98 at about 1:15 a.m.

The driver was seriously hurt in the crash, including an injury to his shoulder. He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

The cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed. However, the area was experiencing a snow squall with low visibility and slippery roads at the time of the crash, which police think likely contributed.
