Possible witness sought after fatal Lindenwold hit-and-run

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Authorities are searching for a woman who is believed to have witnessed a fatal pedestrian crash Thursday, December 8, in Lindenwold, according to Daily Voice.

The incident occurred in the 600 block of South White Horse Pike. Lindenwold Police responded to the scene after receiving a call at around 5:42 p.m.

Little information has been shared regarding the circumstances of the crash, but a 53-year-old Somerdale man was struck by a vehicle. EMS and paramedics treated the victim at the scene and rushed him to Jefferson-Stratford Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased less than an hour later.

Detectives with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Response Investigation Team continued to search for two vehicles: “a light-colored sedan, possibly a Tesla, with front-end damage and a dark-colored, small SUV, possibly a Buick Encore.”

Authorities also released a surveillance image of the woman they believe saw the incident and who may have more information.

An investigation remains ongoing.
