TRENTON, NJ – A police pursuit ended in a violent, multi-vehicle accident that injured three officers early on Wednesday, according to Daily Voice.
Police spotted a stolen vehicle at about 2 a.m. near Parkside Avenue and Olden Avenue. As they began investigating, the suspected car thieves fired shots at the patrol vehicle. The pursuing police officers were not injured when the shots struck their vehicle and they did not shoot back.
Police then pursued the fleeing vehicle along Olden Avenue in the direction of Ewing Township.
At the intersection of North Olden Avenue and North Clinton Avenue, the suspects collided with a Trenton police department patrol car and another vehicle
Two of the officers who were injured were in stable condition after the accident but one remained in critical condition.
Three suspects have been arrested. Authorities are still investigating the accident.
