NEWARK, NJ – A police pursuit that began in Paterson with a vehicle carjacked in Jersey City ended with a crash in Newark on Wednesday night.
According to RLS Media, authorities attempted to pull over a white Mazda CX-5 that had been carjacked in Jersey City. The vehicle had also been connected to robberies in Paterson. When the driver refused to stop, a high-speed chase ensued down Route 20, through Paterson, and onto Route 21.
They continued on Route 21 through several towns before crashing near Clark Street in Newark.
No one was injured.
Two people were arrested after the incident.
