FAIR LAWN, NJ – A police chase ended in a 5-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon, according to NY Daily News.
The incident began when police started pursuing a white Chrysler sedan that had been stolen earlier in the month.
The chase began in Hackensack. The vehicle took Route 4 through Paramus and into Fair Lawn. It crashed at the intersection of Fair Lawn Avenue and Plaza Road with a Toyota Rav4 and three other vehicles.
The driver of the Rav4, a 62-year-old man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Two girls were also injured, when debris struck them as they stood on the curb.
The fire department was on the scene and put out one vehicle fire. All the vehicles were taken from the scene via tow truck.
Kenneth Barrier, 31, the driver of the stolen vehicle and his passenger, Ebony Roger-Fields were both taken into custody.
The accident remains under investigation.
