Pedestrian struck and killed climbing on Jersey Shore barrier

TOMS RIVER, NJ- A Pennsylvania resident was struck and killed near the Jersey Shore while climbing over a highway barrier on Friday, according to Daily Voice.

At approximately 6:00pm, the pedestrian was attempting to climb the barrier on Hooper Avenue near James Street when she was struck. She was transported by officials to Community Medical Center and then airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital shortly after. However, she was pronounced dead due to injuries on Saturday.
