JERSEY CITY, NJ- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Route 440 in Jersey City on Wednesday night, according to local media sources.
At approximately 10:17pm, officials arrived to the area of Route 440 and Communipaw Avenue to find an individual severely injured in the roadway. The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, but died shortly after due to injuries.
No information about the vehicle or driver has been provided. We will monitor for further information.
