MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train in Neptune on Monday morning has been identified.
According to NJ.com, Stephen B. Mangold was hit at the crossing near 11th Avenue and Main Street at about 11:50 a.m.
The victim was a 54-year-old resident of Bardonia in Rockland County.
Service was suspended for about an hour between Bay Head and Long Branch after the New Jersey North Coast line train accident.
