MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a driver in a hit-and-run accident in Wall Township on Sunday evening.
According to Nj.com, the man, a resident of Ashbury Park, was near the intersection of Belmar Boulevard and Birchwood Lane when he was struck by a car a few minutes before 9 p.m.
An ambulance transported the victim to Jersey Shore University Medical Center where the victim received treatment for serious injuries.
The driver remains at large. Police are asking witnesses or anyone with information to contact the township and county investigators.
