CLIFFSIDE PARK, NJ – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a pickup truck in Cliffside Park early on Sunday evening.
According to Daily Voice, a man was standing against a pole along Highridge Avenue in the area of Edgewater Road at about 5:30 p.m. The man stepped into the road and was hit by a Honda Ridgeline and knocked under the pickup.
The driver, a 62-year-old Cliffside Park woman, stopped and cooperated with authorities.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and was awake and alert but seriously injured. He was not carrying identification when the accident happened, but his age was estimated to be 30-something.
An investigation is ongoing.
