ELIZABETH, NJ – A pedestrian was severely injured after being struck by a vehicle in Elizabeth late last night, according to local news sources.
The accident occurred on Route 1 and Spring Street (Route 9), near E Jersey Street, just before 11 p.m., when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was taken to the hospital in Newark for the treatment of serious injuries. Their current condition is unknown at this time.
It is unclear if the driver remained at the scene of the crash.
