OCEAN COUNTY, NJ – The pedestrian killed in a Saturday Garden State Parkway accident in Toms River has been identified, according to NJ.com.
Daniel Cintron, a 50-year-old man from Ossining, New York, and another person were standing outside a car on the southbound righthand shoulder at about 11:15 p.m. when they were struck by a passing SUV.
Cintron died at the scene. The second individual, a 21-year-old from Staten Island, sustained moderate injuries.
Two lanes of the Garden State Parkway in Toms River were closed for about five hours as police investigated. Further investigations are ongoing.
