FAIR LAWN, NJ – A pedestrian was struck and killed in a crosswalk in front of the Fair Lawn municipal building Wednesday morning.
According to Daily Voice, a 63-year-old man was hit by a grey Honda SUV and knocked under a Mercedes sedan parked nearby. The accident happened at about 9:45 a.m. on Fair Lawn Avenue, in the area of Parmalee Avenue and Edward Street.
Police responded to the accident and administered CPR until EMTs were able to continue treatment.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center, where he died.
Both drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The accident is still under investigation.
