Pedestrian killed in early-morning hit-and-run

EATONTOWN, NJ – A pedestrian was killed early this morning after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene on New Jersey Route 36, according to RLS Media and APP.

The victim was discovered lying on the NJ-36 roadway by first responders. The victim was struck by a car before 3:30 a.m. near the P.C. Richards store. The driver left the scene of the crime.

No information is available regarding the identity of the victim.

The crash is still under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
