MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in Holmdel Township in the evening on Tuesday, according to local news.
The accident happened in the 2100 block of New Jersey Route 35 at about 7:15 p.m.
Emergency crews attempted to revive the injured person but the victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The area was closed for several hours while authorities investigated at the scene.
It is unclear whether the driver stopped to cooperate with officials.
