MERCER COUNTY, NJ – A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian at a dangerous intersection along Route 129 in Trenton on Sunday evening.
According to NJ.com, the man was crossing the road at Lalor Street and Route 129 when he was struck at about 6:20 p.m.
The driver remained at the scene.
The victim was pronounced dead. Their identity has not yet been released.
Route 129 and Lalor Street meet at the edge of the city after stretches with no lights for drivers in both directions. Sunday’s fatal accident was the latest in a years-long line of serious crashes at the intersection.
