EDGEWATER, NJ- A pedestrian was struck and severely injured by a young driver near the Edgewater Marketplace on Tuesday evening, according to Daily Voice.
At approximately 5:30pm, the 19-year-old driver of a 2015 Honda CR-V was turning left out of the Edgewater Marketplace when she hit a pedestrian crossing River Road. The 37-year-old pedestrian sustained severe injuries to her lower half and was pinned underneath the car. Officials extricated the victim and transported her to Hackensack University Medical Center. in stable condition.
The driver was not injured and was cited for careless driving and failing to yield to a pedestrian.
