NEWARK, NJ – One person was severely injured after they were hit by a car this afternoon in the North Ward area of Newark, according to sources at RLS Media.
The accident happened near 351 Summer Ave at about 3:30 p.m. when a person who was not publicly identified was struck by a vehicle.
The victim, who was found unconscious at the scene, was taken to University Hospital for the treatment of serious, life-threatening injuries.
The driver, who also was not identified, remained at the scene after the crash to cooperate with the investigation.
