MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A 63-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured Tuesday evening when they were hit by a vehicle in West Windsor Township, according to Daily Voice.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Penn-Lyle Road and Canoe Brook Drive, south of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South in Princeton Junction. It was first reported shortly after 5:45 p.m.
Local police said the pedestrian was traveling on foot, east to west across the marked southern crosswalk when they were struck by a southbound vehicle.
The victim, a resident of West Windsor, suffered a serious head injury. They were rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center – Fuld, where they were listed in critical but stable condition.
It remains unclear whether the driver, a 55-year-old West Windsor resident, will face any charges.
The intersection was closed for nearly two hours during the response and initial investigation.
