Pedestrian hit, critically hurt by pickup truck in Chatham

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A 63-year-old local resident was critically injured Monday evening when they were struck by a pickup truck  in Chatham, according to Daily Voice.

Both Chatham Police and the Morris County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene at the intersection of Main Street and Railroad Plaza North at around 7:55 p.m.

Chatham Police said another borough resident, 55, was driving a pickup truck when they hit the pedestrian, who was crossing Main Street.

First responders treated the victim at the scene before transporting the patient to Morristown Memorial Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.

No further details have been shared at this time, but an investigation was underway.
