According to NJ.com, the man was crossing Route 33 when he hit by a westbound pickup truck between Twin Rivers Drive North and Probasco Road at about 8:30 p.m.
He was transported to a hospital in New Brunswick. His injuries were considered life-threatening.
The driver of the pickup, a 22-year-old man, stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
An investigation is ongoing. At this time, the driver has not been charged.
