Pedestrian fatally hit by train at Princeton Junction station

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — One person died last Friday, November 4, after being struck by a NJ Transit train at Princeton Junction station, according to Daily Voice.

The fatal incident occurred on the tracks off Wallace Road at around 6:35 p.m.

Details remain limited, but NJ Transit officials said the victim was hit by Northeast Corridor train 3953, which had just departed from Penn Station in New York.

No injuries to any passengers or crew on the train were reported. Northeast Corridor service was halted in both directions following the crash but later resumed.

Amtrak Police and New Jersey Transit Police continue to investigate.
