CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ – A pedestrian was pronounced dead after being struck by a vehicle on Route 47 in Middle Township late on Saturday night.
According to NJ.com, the 39-year-old man was crossing Route 47 near 5th Street at about 11:30 p.m., when the vehicle struck him. Frederick Dunn, of Wildwood, had been trying to cross against the light. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 33-year-old female driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
