UNION COUNTY, NJ – According to local news, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Route 1&9 in Elizabeth late on Monday night.
The pedestrian was in the northbound lanes of the highway near Elizabeth Avenue when they were struck at about 11 p.m.
An early unconfirmed report said that the victim was struck by more than one vehicle.
