MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ – A car accident on Route 35 in Middletown took the life of a pedestrian on Tuesday, according to a local news report.
The pedestrian was in the northbound lanes of Route 35 near Navesink River Road when they were struck by a vehicle just a few minutes before 8 p.m.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver stopped and the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The accident area was closed to all traffic on Tuesday night.
