CLARK, NJ – An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Union County, according to rlsmedia.com.
Officials say the unidentified person entered the tracks Friday night near Goodmans Crossing on the border of Clark and Scotch Plains.
The victim was struck by a Norfolk Southern train at about 11:45 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The person’s identity has not yet been released.
Norfolk Southern Railroad Police detectives arrived at the scene to begin their investigation into the incident.
