MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ – A woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a car on Route 34 in Aberdeen Township on Tuesday evening.
According to RLS Media, the woman was found lying on the ground near the intersection of Route 34 and Cambridge Drive at about 8 p.m. The woman had suffered serious injuries and was unconscious when emergency workers arrived at the scene.
The victim was taken by helicopter to a New Brunswick hospital. Her condition was considered serious but stable.
An investigation is ongoing. It is unclear whether the driver remained at the scene.
