JERSEY CITY, NJ – A man was killed, and another was critically injured after a car crashed into a guardrail in Jersey City early this morning, according to the Daily Voice.
The crash occurred near the split on Columbus Drive at about 3:30 a.m., when a 30-year-old man from Jersey City, operating a 1996 Honda Civic, collided with a guardrail.
A passenger, 30-year-old Jersey City man Jesus Gonzalez, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. His identity was not immediately released.
The accident remains under investigation at this time, and those with any information on the crash are asked to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office at 201-915-1345.
