BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – A piece of machinery was knocked from its trailer by a low overpass near the train station in Mahway on Friday morning.
According to Daily Voice, the accident happened at the railroad overpass across Ramapo Avenue near South Railroad Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. The truck pulling a trailer with a plow-sweeper on board passed under the bridge, but the machinery was over-height. It was knocked from the trailer and seriously damaged.
Thankfully, no one was injured.
This is not the first accident at the railroad bridge which has a clearance of fewer than 10 feet.
