PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ – One person was killed and two others were injured on Interstate 80 in Morris County on Monday night, according to local news.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes at about 8:30 p.m. near milepost 46 which is in Parsippany-Trop Hills. A Chevrolet pickup truck barreled into a construction truck that had stopped in the left lane.
The pickup truck driver, 26-year-old Frank Orlando, Jr., died at the scene of the crash. The 31-year-old female passenger in the pickup was injured, as was the driver of the construction truck.
The construction truck had stopped to conduct a mobile construction detail.
After the crash, all traffic was routed off the interstate and around the scene for about four hours.
The accident remains under investigation.
