MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – One person was killed and another person was injured in an accident on the New Jersey Turnpike in Woodbridge Township on Monday.
A local news story reported that a Mercedes sedan and a Ford van collided in the fatal accident just south of Exit 12 on the outer roadway southbound. The crash happened at about 5:50 a.m.
One victim, a woman, died at the scene. The second victim sustained serious injuries and was airlifted Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
All lanes of the southbound lanes of the outer roadway on Monday morning until after 10 a.m. causing miles-long delays.
The accident remains under investigation.
