WEST ORANGE, NJ- A stolen vehicle was involved in a fatal crash on I-280 East in West Orange that killed one and injured one on Sunday afternoon, reports Daily Voice.
At approximately 1:15pm, a Hyundai Genesis that had been reported to be stolen out of Madison struck a Honda Pilot, overturned, and struck a median barrier. Both the driver and the passenger were ejected out of the vehicle in the accident. The accident occurred near milepost 9.8 on the westbound side of the roadway.
The driver and passenger of the Hyundai were transported to University Hospital in Newark. The driver was pronounced dead shortly after the accident, whereas the passenger remains in critical condition. The driver of the Honda Pilot has not reported any serious injuries. There is no information on the identity of anyone involved.
