According to NJ.com, a witness called 911 about a car that had crashed into a tree on McBride Avenue at about 5:30 a.m. The vehicle had then caught fire and was fully engulfed when authorities arrived.
The driver was trapped inside and firefighters were not able to get to them due to the flames.
The victim died at the scene. Police have not been able to identify them as of yet.
After the flames were out, an investigation revealed that the vehicle was a Ford Mustang, stolen out of Passaic.
Police are continuing to investigate and are working to identify the victim. Anyone with information is asked to please contact the police.
