PERTH AMBOY, NJ- According to ABC7NY, a house fire on Wednesday in a two-and-a-half story Perth Amboy home caused one person to be critically injured, as well as extensive damage to the infrastructure of the home.
At approximately 4:45am, a home on Brace Avenue between Amboy Avenue and Cornell Street caught on fire and caused significant damage to the top floor and the roof of the home. One individual suffered critical injuries and was found by officials to be in cardiac arrest. They were transported to an area hospital.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to only one home. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and officials are investigating. We will be monitoring for updates.
