MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ- A man was injured after suffering a medical episode behind the wheel and crashing into a mailbox, tree, and two parked cars on Monday morning, according to NJ.com.
On Monday, 69-year-old Howard Kaplan was heading northbound on Riviera Drive in a 2021 Audi A6 when he suffered an unidentified medical episode. The episode caused him to go off-road and hit a mailbox, then a 2019 Nissan Rogue and a tree, continuing on to strike a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Jeep then hit a 2020 Mercedes.
Kaplan suffered facial injuries and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for injury treatment and to address the medical episode.
This accident is still under investigation.
