MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – One person died after being trapped by a rollover car accident on Route 70 in Manchester Township on Saturday morning.
According to RLS Media, the victim was near milepost 35 on Route 70 when the accident happened at about 2:20 a.m. The vehicle overturned in the crash and was found on its side with the driver trapped inside.
The victim was seriously injured and unresponsive when they were extricated. Life-saving measures were not effective and the victim died. Their identity has not been released.
First responders scouted the area for any victims that might have been ejected but determined that only the driver had been in the vehicle when the crash occurred.
The cause is still under investigation.
