UNION COUNTY, NJ – A Middlesex County resident was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 78 in Union Township on Friday morning.
According to a local news story, 30-year-old Sarin Patel was driving east in the express lanes on I-78 when he crashed his Nissan Pathfinder at about 9:05 a.m. His vehicle left the travel lanes near milepost 51 and struck the guardrail in the center divide before overturning into the westbound lanes.
No other vehicles were involved.
Patel, the vehicle’s only occupant, died as the result of the accident.
An investigation is ongoing.
