HUDSON COUNTY, NJ – The collision of a car and a trash truck near the Jersey City border took the life of one person early Thursday morning.
According to RLS Media, the driver of a black car slammed into the back of a trash truck on Route 1&9 southbound near the Kearny and Jersey City border at about 1:50 a.m.
The car driver was trapped. They were pronounced dead at the scene after being extricated by firefighters.
The area was closed while local police and personnel from the state Medical Examiner’s Office investigated.
